Treetop Zoofari Zip Line – Metro Richmond Zoo, Virginia

The Treetop Zoofari Zip Line and Adventure Park is located at the Richmond Metro Zoo. There are 2 separate courses at the park. The Treetop Zoofari Course is for guests 8 years to adult. For younger adventurers there is a Junior Explorer Course.

The Treetop Zoofari Course features 42 aerial challenges including 16 zip lines. The zip lines cover over 3000 feet and 2 of the lines fly over the lake. The course is contained all in the tree-tops with half of the course traveling over the zoo and the other half thru the forest. Participants soar high over numerous zoo animals including Monkeys, Orangutans, Toucans, Kangaroos, and more. Multiple sections of the course feature route choices allowing for easier or more difficult challenges. Guests must be at least 8 years old and weigh less than 250 lbs to participate. Safety instruction, safety equipment and trained guides ensure for a safe adventure. Participants should allow 2 – 3 hours to complete the course.

The Junior Explorer Course is designed specifically for younger adventurers. The minimum age to participate is 4 years old. The junior course consists of 14 challenges and 1 zip line. The Junior Explorer Course is set in the forest above a creek. The course allows for parents to walk alongside their child as they travel thru the course. A trip thru the course requires 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete. Safety instruction and safety equipment is provided.
